You Can Be Saved
God loves you.
God loves you. He loves you so much that He willingly sent His Son to die for your sins. John 3:16 tells us that: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” No matter what you have done in your life, God loves you.
God does not love your sin.
Sin is anything that is contrary to God’s Word and His Will. Sin separates you from God. Romans 3:23 tells us that: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” We all have missed it. But, you don’t have to live in sin anymore. There is an answer to sin. His name is Jesus.
There is a penalty to sin.
Sin has a penalty. In everything we do, there is an after that. Scripture tells us in Romans 6:23 that: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” God does not allow sin to go without consequences. The only way that your sins won’t lead you to eternal damnation is through God’s gift of eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ.
You can’t work your way to heaven.
No matter how many good deeds you may or may not have done, they will never get you to Heaven. You must call on Him in faith to come into your life and save you. Galatians 2:16 tells you that: “…that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ….” It is only through faith, believing in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord will you have eternal life. There is absolutely nothing inyour own ability that can save you. It is only through Jesus Christ that you shall be saved. Salvation is God’s Gift.
God’s solution for your sins.
While you were still in sin, God sent Jesus to die for you (See Romans 5:8). God sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for you. He loved you so much that even when you did not realize you needed Him, He still realized your need for Him and made provision for you to come to Him.
God has made His move, it’s time you make yours.
Now that the way has been prepared for you, it is up to you and you alone to decide to follow Him. First, you must repent of your sins. Repentance simply means deciding to change direction. You must decide to turn from evil and choose to serve the Lord. Acts 3:19 says: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” It’s time to serve the Lord.
Now, read Romans 10:9-10. Cry out to God in your own words. Confess to Him your sinful state and your need for Him in your life. Repent of your sins. Confess your belief that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead for you. Cry out to God. He has been waiting a long time to hear you give Him your heart. You have begun the greatest walk imaginable. You are taking your first steps into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
