Patrick A. Harvin

Patrick A. Harvin

Senior Pastor

Pastor Harvin is a native of Sum’ter, SC. He graduated from the Univ. of South Carolina in Columbia with a B.S. degree in Business Economics and Management and continued his education with a Certificate in Pastoral Care at the C.E. Graham Bible School in Columbia, SC.  He is employed as a Program Manager at SC Public Employee Benefit Authority.

Pastor Harvin has pastored Jerusalem Baptist Church in Hopkins, SC, since 2002. He has held various leadership roles in the Wateree Baptist Association Upper Division and currently serves as Executive Committee Chair. He is also a founding member and current Chair of JBC Cares, Inc. 

Pastor Harvin has served as a youth mentor at SC Dept. of Juvenile Justice and Wil Lou Gray Opportunity Academy, chair of Caughman Road Elementary School Improvement Council, as well a lunch buddy at Greenview Elementary School, among other community organizations.

As founder of It’s Time Ministries and owner of P.A. Harvin Consulting, LLC, he teaches the Gospel and helps organizations leverage technology for growth. Pastor Harvin cherishes his family—wife Dedra and their three children—and lives by Romans 12:11: “Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.”

Minister Tabitha Jeffcoat

Tabitha Jeffcoat grew up in Eastover, SC. She was educated in the Richland County public schools and continued education in Human Resource Management, Psychology, and became a certified Life Coach.  She serves as a minister and youth leader at Jerusalem Baptist Church.    As a coach she specializes in transformation and empowerment with a clientele that includes mostly teenagers.   She is a mother, and she is currently an office manager/human resources at an engineering firm in Columbia SC. She has a great love and connection with the youth and loves to see them flourish and grow.  She became a Thrive Tribe mentor because it is her passion, to be an ear, a voice, and an encouragement to the greatness of our youth.  Our future depends on the youth and the youth depends on us and we want to make sure that they are empowered and equipped, and know that they have a village.

 

Thomas (Gerard) Dismal

Thomas(Gerard)Dismal is from Bennettsville, South Carolina,With 18 years as a truck driver, he expertly navigates the highways while deeply committed to those around him. As a trustee and head of safety at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Gerard also dedicates time to the Thrive Tribe, offering guidance to empower young minds.

Volunteering at JBC Cares Food Bank, Gerard extends his compassion and support to those in need. His life, shared with his beloved wife, three daughters, and four grandchildren, Through his dedication to both family and community, Gerard inspires generations, proving that one person’s devotion can elevate and empower others in lasting ways.

Antonio (Lamont) Wilson was born in Columbia, SC. He has been a proud member of Jerusalem Baptist Church for approximately 20 years. There he serves as a Deacon, youth leader, and Campus Coordinator, to name a few. He is a certified Audio Engineer and volunteers for JBC Cares, a non -profit organization. He is a husband and father of three.  He became a Thrive Tribe mentor to help young people navigate through their lives and overcome stumbling blocks. Somebody helped him, so he wants to help someone else.

 

Maxine Wilson

Maxine Wilson was born in Columbia SC. She was educated in Richland County and later received a Bachelor’s degree in teaching of English. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She currently teaches English at a local high school.  Maxine is also a licensed and ordained minister and youth leader at Jerusalem Baptist Church.  She is a wife and mother of three.  She has a deep love for children and wants to see them be successful. She became a Thrive Tribe mentor because she believes it is important to pour into our future.

 

Warren Stocker

Warren Stocker is a dedicated Police Investigator for the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, Public Safety Division, where he utilizes his extensive experience to serve and protect his community. A proud retired veteran, he served 25 years in the United States Air Force, honing leadership, discipline, and investigative skills.

 He is a committed family man, married to Yvette Stocker, and together they have three children: Warren, Lauren, and William. As a Deacon, Warren is deeply involved in his church community, serving in the Media Ministry and the Celery Support Ministry at Jerusalem Baptist Church.

 Outside of his professional and ministry roles, Warren enjoys working with his hands, building, and creating things. He is passionate about mentoring youth, helping them navigate an ever-changing world while grounding them in faith and a strong sense of purpose. Warren is committed to preparing the next generation for life’s challenges and guiding them to understand the importance of serving God.

 

Hope Walker Robinson

Hope Walker Robinson is a native of West Palm Beach, Florida, however she spent most of her life in Columbia, South Carolina.   She is a licensed and ordained minister and youth leader at Jerusalem Baptist Church.   Hope is a graduate of Erskine College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. She has served her community as a licensed Emergency Medical Technician and is currently a supervisor at a local home health agency where she trains and empowers employees and their families to care for their loved ones.  As a youth she took full advantage of all youth programs offered to her and has now chosen to pour back into the youth around her by being a part of Thrive Tribe. She joined Thrive Tribe at its inception because she understands the importance of reaching youth where they are. 

Donte Rich

Donte Rich

Mentor

Donte’ Marion Rich is a native of Sumter, SC, and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Technology Support and Training Management.  During his time at USC, he held various leadership roles that fostered his commitment to mentorship and community building.

Professionally, Donte’ has built a successful career in telecommunications and information technology, starting as a top-performing sales representative and later transitioning to management.  In 2021, he shifted his focus to IT and currently serves as a Junior Network Analyst with the City of Columbia, where he applies his expertise to support critical infrastructure.

Outside of his career, Donte’ is deeply involved in his community and church. He mentors young men through the Thrive Tribe, leads the Media Ministry, and supports the Safety Ministry at Jerusalem Baptist Church. Married to Devan Damon Rich since June 2021, Donte’ is a proud husband and father to their son, Damon, finding inspiration and purpose through his faith, family, and service.

BaTonya McCullough

BaTonya McCullough chose to be a mentor with Thrive Tribe because youth need to have positive people in their lives that will take time out of their lives to show that they care.

Her background is in Mental Health and she was a school based therapist, and a therapist that worked with families who were reuniting after their children were put in foster care due to neglect or abuse. She also has experience as a brain trainer that helped children and adults with cognitive issues, short and long term memory, visual, and auditory, deficiencies, so that within 1 month, parents, teachers and the students can see the change. That was the greatest reward when the student can see the change in themselves.

Joseph C. Miller

Joseph C. Miller

Mentor

Joseph C. Miller, a native of Kingstree, SC, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Business Administration. During his time at USC, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant (2LT).

Joseph has extensive experience in youth mentorship, having led Youth Bible Study and other ministries at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Since moving to Columbia, South Carolina, in 2005, he has continued to guide young people through roles at Jerusalem Baptist Church, including Deacon Chair, Youth Sunday School Teacher, and Thrive Tribe Mentor.

As a founding partner of Mantle Holdings, LLC, Joseph combines his professional expertise with his passion for equipping future generations. Married to his wife, Tarra, and a father to eight children, he is driven by a deep commitment to helping youth grow spiritually, excel academically, and build a foundation for financial security.
